There are a million reasons why the capital insurrectionists and BLM protesters are profoundly incomparable.

But I can’t stop thinking about the difference of care in crowd behavior.
There are clearly exceptions. But in general, there’s a culture of care in BLM and other left leaning protest communities.

Leaders feel a responsibility for the safety of the crowds, and work hard to mitigate risks. They try to lead crowds in the least dangerous ways.
Crowds at BLM protests, generally speaking, look out for each other. Hand out water to each other, remind each other to brings masks and snacks, are trained to de-escalate agitators, and keep an eye out for medically vulnerable members.
Such a marked contrast to a group who literally trample each other.

I see a culture of dominance vs a culture of mutual care not only in goals and grievances, but in how the crowds behaved.
