Twitter has always been a garbage platform with no way to monetize its user base. You voted for Biden? You support higher taxes? That doesn’t tell an advertiser jack about what kind of sneakers you might like or what kind of laundry detergent might be appealing. Shit business.

Example: I’ve talked about my Mom’s death from cancer. Interacted with families fighting that horrific disease. Tweeted Fuck Cancer with passion. So...I start seeing ads for lung cancer drugs in my Twitter feed. Drugs that my Mom actually took that didn’t work. She’s dead.

My Mom took this drug. It wasn’t effective for her. This is used to treat a follow-on EGFR mutation in non-small cell lung cancer. I was served up this ad on Twitter one year after she died.
