For no other reason than I miss going to the football, here's a thread of some of the photos I've taken around the grounds over the years. First of course is home, White Hart Lane, nothing comes close to this place. I even miss the walk from Seven Sisters
Fair to say we haven't really broken this place in yet, though the Champions League QF win over City was a good start. Had the stadium been full for the first 2 NLD wins that might have done it. I look forward to sharing a pint with you all at the goalline bar in the future
My favourite away ground, Villa Park. If I could design a stadium this is it. Taken in April 2016, dad left our tickets at home but we managed to negotiate our way in. We won 2-0 but the highlight was Villa & Spurs fans singing together in protest at their then owner Randy Lerner
Another of my favourites, the Cathedral on the Hill. St James Park is brilliant, smack bang in the centre of town and a crowd so partisan they complain if you get one of the kick-offs. Great views over the city too, once you've climbed the 150,000 steps to the away end
It's true when people say the best English football atmosphere is on Merseyside, but contrary to popular belief it resides on the blue half of Stanley Park. Z Cars, a raging Gwladys Street and a proper old stadium that still has wooden seats in the away end. Avoid the scouse pie
A change of pace from the big stadiums, one of my favourite away days was Rochdale in the Cup. The best music going at a stadium, the click-clack of proper turnstiles and a day which ended with me & dad scrambling up a dual carriageway embankment in order to make our train home
Old Trafford, not the theatre of dreams as claimed but it’s not bad & a trip to Manchester is always welcome. Been here many times but I always skip the ones we win, unless you count the Pedro Mendes game which I am still deeply bitter about
The Camp Nou on our Champions League run. Shame that ‘mes que un club’ doesn’t extend to making it any way reasonable for away fans - 5 miles up in the sky behind scratched, translucent perspex which practically soundproofs you from the rest of the stadium. Good result though
From the Camp Nou to Grosvenor Vale, @WealdstoneFC - home of the Raider, a smashing bovril and a 10 minute walk to Aquarius chippy after the game. Hope they've changed that sign to National League South Champions 2020
Turf Moor. Burnley gets a unfair reputation - you can get a pint for 2 quid in the cricket club next door, heckle the opening batsman if your game is during the cricket season and the teams come out to Wake Up by Arcade Fire. Glorious place
Fond memories of Stoke. Beating them 4-0 in 2016 convinced we were going to pip Leicester to the title was up there with the best of them. It's very windy, and the locals don't like you
The Liberty, with essential Welsh to English translations and injury time comebacks. Delightful chippy outside the ground if you can bear the queues
Poch had us off here. A 10 hour coach trip to Dortmund to watch our reserves get wellied 3-0 in the last 16 of the Europa League. Cracking place
I have just the one photo from the Hawthorns, but I’m sure I was in the presence of @bankruptspurs
The Johann Cruyff Arena, 8th May 2019. 90 plus 6. The greatest day of them all
Loftus Road. My first ever game was here, I lived within earshot of the ground and I throughly love the place. The seats are ludicrously tight, the atmosphere is great and you’re a short walk from a load of great pubs in the Bush
Molineux. Great ground, loud fans. This was taken the day of Mousa Dembele’s last ever game for Spurs. Went down injured right in front of us, you just knew it was the last time you would see him in a Spurs shirt
The Estadio Vicente Calderon. Absolutely magnificent - this was against Austria Vienna in the Champions League. Also a perfect place to pub crawl your way back into town
The Santiago Bernabeu - it’s very large and grandiose, but nothing too exciting except it has escalators
The Wanda Metropolitano, taken at the Champions League final, which Tottenham Hotspur were in

(The last photo is actually taken the same season but from the Copa del Rey where Atleti beat Lleida 3-0, as you do)
