For the sake of the Church, the future of the UK, and peoples’ very lives we need to stop excusing Pastors and Leaders who have shared false prophecies or promoted conspiracy theories.

‘Grace’ doesn’t mean we excuse them when they mislead their flock or lend legitimacy to a lie; whether accidentally or on purpose.

Sadly today I have seen a combination of insufficient responses from leaders who have been complicit in stoking confusion and false info.
Some have remained silent, some have made ‘both sides’ statements, & many have avoided responsibility by reminding us ‘not to judge’ (3)

What the Church in the West urgently needs to see from leaders is public repentance. Our leaders need to admit culpability, admit they too have been misled. Apologise and seek change. Maybe even step down.

If our leaders refuse to lead; if they are posting vague statuses about unity and reconciliation without the work of repentance, we must not stay silent.
We must challenge them, and stop giving platforms to those who cannot admit their mistakes or practice repentance (5)

We may believe here in the UK we are safe from Trumpism, or Christian Nationalism. But let me remind you the same powers & principalities are active in our own country, sowing seeds of mistrust and confusion.
