Tips for using Google Classroom #GoogleClassroom

Please add to this list with a screen shot if helpful

A few things I've learnt over time....
Use topics to label lessons so all lesson content goes under one topic. This keeps things simpler for students instead of putting everything into one assignment
Make a copy of a document for each student so they can respond/annotate their own version.
Pre-type as much as possible on this document to reduce what students need to do
Use schedule to post content for the future
If sharing content with classes with exact same requirements e.g. date due, content etc you can either select multiple classes OR Reuse previous posts to use the same content but adjust the dates etc
You can select assignments to only go to certain students here too
If you have support from a colleague such as a TA with a student then add them as a student (so they can see the work being set for that student) OR as a co-teacher so they can see the work the student as done
And from @josephkinnaird add Mote to chrome so you can record short voice feedback/instructions for students. It saves so much time instead of typing.

Use google forms for quizzes, knowledge checks, surveys, exit 'tickets' etc
In google forms you can import previously written questions from other quizzes to save time retyping
If marking assessments where you might use the same feedback over and over then add to the comments bank. use # to bring up your comment bank
If you use Google forms in a particular way (settings the same and same amount/type of qus etc) you can make a template for it to prevent you having to create the same thing each time.

You can then share these within your domain so colleagues can access
If you want to download an assignment marks or a class marks for all assignments then go into one of their assignments and find the cog (top right) and choose what/how you want to download
