hello, i just want to address something that i think is important especially for armys (but as well for other kpop/kdrama fans).
kook/guk/gook/국 is a derogatory term used against east and southeast asians (however, historically mostly Filipinos, Koreans, and Vietnamese people).

It was then later used against Koreans in the Korean War and against Vietnamese people in the Vietnam War.

Many ARMYs have made a habit of calling Jungkook "kook" or "guk", however, this is NOT okay.
The word you are using is not a cute nickname, it is a derogatory term.
You may still call him "koo" or "kookie" but not "kook" or "guk".

I make this thread as someone who is Vietnamese, whose grandfather served in the Vietnam War along with American soldiers.
