In my extra year days in UNIPORT, I was helping a friend run a restaurant at alakahia. Yea, I cooked all the meals.

Originally, he had a deal with a guy to manage the place but things went wrong on the day the place should be launched.
This guy was doing his Masters and his brother was the one sponsoring him.

His brother was tired of sending him money from abroad then advised him to start a business, So he can sort out things himself.

He contacted a church member who advised him to start up a restaurant.
His initial plan to start a laundry but this guy made him change his plans after convincing him that he has ran restaurant for lots of people and the ROI is mouth watering.

This my guy bought his idea and spent more than a million setting up the place.
I got to know about this 2 days before this place was lunched and ask how sure the guy can cook, talkless of running a restaurant.

He said he is his church member and guy can't lie to him. I laughed inside me.

He then asked me to help him out that Sunday for launching.
I went there in the morning about 6:30am to help with cooking and his family members, friends and colleagues will be coming to his restaurant for the lunching at noon.

I was just there to help, so I help sliced onions, carrots and other vegetables and was watching the chef
Lmao. This guy legit put tin tomatoes in the hot pot of oil and covered it.

At first I didn't want to ask as I was just there to help but damn it, it's a friends business that is about to be messed up.

So I asked him this nigga...
The tin tomatoes was burning and I was 100% sure it would affect taste and colour of the food. ..so I asked him. He said that's how he's been Cooking for the past 13 years. Lmao

I cldnt contain my laughter and told my friend. He got angry with me that I should have taken over.
To cut the long story short, there were lots of arguments on the process if cooking and we came to conclusion that baba can't cook. My man almost fainted.

I left them to go to church at 8 and came back at 11:30am after church.

Omo! Rice was strong like stone and almost black
We ended up going to another fast food in choba to buy food that would be served to guest as time was no longer on our side.

A lot of people ate and was like your meal is great.

We got home and he pleaded I take over. That's how the journey started.
He refused to fire the other guy and left him for a reason I think is to check mate me in the area of finance because they both spoke the same language and always do so I dont hear what they say.

I introduced soups and other meals ranging from porridge to swallows.
The place started to boom as my egusi with fresh fish and okra soup was the bomb.

..... To be continued.
