There is only one way to simply, easily, quickly, and without any violence, create a society without socioeconomic cruelty among humans, and that is guaranteeing an income of money to all.
We must start valuing democratic currencies

And we must start devaluing non-democratic currencies.

To abolish all socioeconomic cruelty, the individual effort is to devalue non-democratic money and to value democratic money in their place.

Every day, that's the work.
Maybe we should call it "Financial Democracy", instituted by "financial democrats," bottom-up.
I don't know if I understand the difference between something that is "Monetary" and something that's "Financial."

In my head, "monetary" denotes something that comes from the operation of a currency, while "financial" is about the settlement ("fim") of obligations, using one.
But it seems that people are not really used to thinking of themselves as operators of currencies. The money seems something that's ordained into existence by some sort of deity, be it the state or some other mystical process like "Decentralized Mining." Something magical.
Thus the term "finance" seems to evoke the idea of "money" more easily than "monetary"; maybe it is easier to connect with.
So a "financial democrat" is a user of money that tries to settle their daily matters with others using ethical, democratic currencies instead of unethical, undemocratic, monopolistic money.
If you really understand this, then you have your work cut out for you.

You must see all forms of non-redistributive money for their inevitable consequence: hoarding, competition, cruelty, and poverty. A numeric system that encodes and implements genocide, classism, war.
At a small scale, it does not show. But at a large scale, a monetary system that does not redistribute itself is a calamity. It is an emergent systemic outcome. This has been modeled in computers, unnecessarily, because you can simply observe it in real life. Open your eyes.
Undemocratic, that is, non-distributive, non-individual-balance-regenerative currencies are primitive constructs that cause us to be cruel to each other in the aggregate.

We must abolish them, by simply replacing our own use of them with the use of democratic, ethical currency.
Our human equivalence must be respected by every social system that we choose to use. For a monetary system, for a currency, for money to be minimally respectful to our sacred nature, it must be always abundant and readily available to every single one of us.
This is 2021. We have the technology, and the technology is operational. There is no excuse.

You must now move from using a lesser democratic currency to a more democratic one.

Choose one or more democratic currencies, and tell your economic relationships to use them with you.
Economic Democratization is a practice.

It is difficult to assess its importance locally, just like it is difficult to see how our little bit of everyday pollution affects the whole.

But it adds up. And in the case of money, it multiplies up, because it's a network effect.
Pollution also multiplies up, because the effect on the *regenerative* processes, of a linear increase in pollution, is nonlinear.
That's a great metaphor, really. Every time you use dollars, or the Brazilian real, or buy bitcoin, you are polluting the world and helping to kill it.

Just more cruelty, reducing our collective IQ, and making us give up on our collective selves just a bit more.
In the case of Bitcoin you are not only polluting the world with an undemocratic non-currency that doesn't even work, but you are literally polluting the world with CO2 and energy waste and labor waste and rare earth minerals slave mining for single-no-purpose computing.
This is the financial equivalent of a vegan movement, not of a "vegetarian" or a "lessetarian" one.

We are not just casually observing an unethical calamity and thinking "wow that sucks, maybe we should do a bit less of it...".

No. We are seeing something that must be ENDED.
We must relentlessly increase the level of democracy in our currencies. The more democracy, the better.

There is no excuse to operate undemocratic currencies in 2021.
There is no need to "Abolish Money"TM, as many have proposed, e.g. Venus Project / Zeitgeist Movement people.

That is unimaginative. Let's do something *harder*, because it is actually possible, so you can't hide behind the impossible with your inaction.
Let's pledge to do our best to transform our subjectivities, our minds, in such a way that we can no longer accept non-democratic money. Instead, let's become people who can only really touch democratic money.

Let's dogfood ethical financial protocols among ourselves.
This is absolutely religious, spiritual, and cultural in the same sense and to the same exact extent that veganism is religious, spiritual, and cultural.
Since "money" (i.e. the present power it represents) is shown by actual medicine to stimulate the same centers on our brains that cocaine does, this is not only a "deprogramming" exercise but actually a detox exercise. With all the ugliness, including withdrawal symptoms.
We are chemically dependent on the power of money. We are deeply trained to associate value with monetary balance. We are not going to get rid of that on the short term. We must face our addiction and re-route it to democratic monetary/financial forms.
The human race is addicted to money. We are addicts. We must accept it. That is the first step to actual recovery.

Our mitigation strategy has to be migrating to drugs that do far less damage and, in fact, can be used at the same time to help us build what comes after them.
That story is not so pretty, but it is the actual truth.

We are addicts, and we have a clinical treatment available: we must infuse our monetary systems with democracy, with constant, unconditional, unversal monetary distribution.

With Universal Basic Income.
Universal Basic Income is the best clinical treatment available for a sentient species that's gone ecocidal, drunk in social games of power and control.
That is what I came here to explain to you.

Do with it what you want. If you want to continue being idiots, that's your problem.
Also, if it is not obvious by this point, maybe I should spell it out: the State is not going to do it. Ever. Not for everyone. Not unconditionally.

You cannot wait for an external groupthink process, especially not the State, to institute democracy.

*YOU* must institute it.
You do not wait for a State to institute veganism. You do not wait for the State to order everyone to be nice, before you being to be a nice person.

Currencies are *ours* now, the same way we eat is *ours*.

The State does not have the direct power to dictate what we eat.
*The same way that what we eat is *ours* to decide.
There is no magic here. We cannot wait. This is built from the ground up, person-to-person.
