I'm not an academic, I might be one day but for now my activism will be based on how I feel about my own personal experiences and the experiences of black queer women around me ,black disabled women ,black economically disadvantaged women .
There is so much to be learnt from reading ,theres so many areas in which I can learn to improve ,but ,empathy and understanding has always protected me ,and that's the best way I know how to protect my sisters and friends.
I hope I never get so caught up in knowing more that I forget how it feels ,how discrimination feels ,how unsafe environments feel ,how trauma feels because in the end , a decent human experience has a lot more to do with how you spend it feeling not what you spend it
knowing.
