- Consider using different shapes alongside color to denote meaning to help folks with color blindness understand trafficlighting, quality etc
- Make your text large, designing a console game? get a design on a tv screen and see if you can comfortably read it from 2+ meters away

- Got a navigation, list of currencies, technology icons etc that have icons that represent abstract concepts? add text next to them.
- All interactions locked by menu or popup? use contrast on button to draw players eye, darken/blur out background to put dialog in focus

- Design, Loc and Writing teams requiring lots of content and space on the screen and readability isnt great? Use rich text formatting, bold, italicize, underline, split headers/body. Enlarge txt ,widen boxes use scrollbars.
- Large block of text describing ingame functionality cumbersome to read? BULLET POINTS
- Feature on screen taking more than 5 seconds to understand? Use visual hierarchy and grid lines to lead the persons eye to what is important. Add hint lines and give titles subheaders

- Subtitles floating on your nice and shiny minimalist HUD with dropshadows? Stop. Add more contrast behind that text. Make that text larger, give sentences ample space to wrap to next line.

- Have the same information eg. currency, costs showing up in many different menus and locations? Players will love you if you just keep it in one place, we constantly create mental maps of where things live.

- Hiding buttons when theyre disabled? Dont, this can disrupt where players expect actions to be. Dim them out and use accompanying text or tooltips explaining why its disabled.
