Okay you know what, all this discussion of attractive characters today, imma go into why Bubs is hot
Starting at his base look
We already had a hooded character with Sandy back in WMTSB1. He was a twink, hooded twink, oh well. But then in Paradise Lost, we get introduced to Bubs, and the fucker does the look so much more justice. It's a more ominous look, larger, billowing, but-

-it still shows how his figure is considerably more pronounced than Sandy's as well. Prominent legs, the exposed chest, full lips, and the long hair. Strong royal colors, gold, black, purple on bronze skin, and the only thing that breaks the coordination is the strong red eye.
For a long while, Bubs would remain the "Hooded Figure" building up to his appearance in Granblue Versus as the main antagonist and eventually his raid, "Long Live The King". In these iterations, the hood is finally removed and his design steps up in its granduer.
The hair that was only hinted at before is now fully displayed and it's extravagant as all hell, flowing with his movements, giving it extra weight and prominence, in tandem with his attire to present him larger than he actually is, similar in the vein of a cape.
The next prominent feature is clearly his wings. In clear contrast with his WMTSB cast, there's nothing angelic about these. Blackened, metallic, sharp as hell, and easily manipulated to somehow flow alongside his motions just as keenly as his clothes and hair. The key word is -
Flow. His movements carry weight, yet he's so in command of every action, every part of his body, that it moves with surreal grace. He is not just powerful, he has MASTERED his body to its fullest - which makes more sense in the context of his lore, but moving on-
NOW ZOOM ON THE FACE
His distinct markings - I don't know what's up with those -, the red eyes, him somehow ROCKING THE PURPLE LIPSTICK, he's got a good face, and it lends itself to some wonderful evil expression work.

Now, we gotta also bring up his other half -Shalem. Sharp to soft, grandiose and prideful, to reserved and calm, along with the ridiculous hair and colors, they also share a floral hair ornament - with the noted contrast of hers appearing more lifelike and in bloom.
Now lets talk character -
I'll be the first to say, you gotta dig to find something beyond his outward typical supervillain shtick, and that unfortunately comes from the fact that there are very few characters that "earn" his respect enough to be treated like anything but trash.

However, with the likes of say, Lucilius and (occasionally) Belial, along with his theme song, "Existence", you begin to understand what's going on, and oddly enough, it comes off a little sad. At his core, Bubs is a being of Reason in a world of contradictions.
The world simply doesn't make sense to him, someone who believes that everything should have a purpose, a reason for being. There's so many contradictions and unnecessary elements that it fills him with disgust - because he can't grasp ideas like love or passion.
For him, perfection is the only way to live, to the point that anything that doesn't fulfill his image of it is a waste. To the point that when presented with a being greater than him, he goes as far as to mutilate and defile the "purity" of his being to become "more".
His feverish pursuit of becoming the ultimate being, The "King Standing Above all Creation", is driven by the inherent inability to accept the broken norms of the world, the bring together all as one in a unified, glorious vision that only the true "king" can create.
With the role of "Singularity", he has the power - the right - to change the world. But of course, he's thwarted at every turn by the Singularities of the other worlds, the Supreme Primarch and his Successor, and that one alchemist with too much time on her hands. But none -
- have actually succeeded in sealing the deal and defeated him for good. His power, his pride, his ambition will always drag him back, even from over 2000 years of exile. The Granblue equivalent of Hell is a literal pit stop for him at this point.
There's still more I want answers to personally, and hopefully, with the Tower of Babyl event, we'll get more details about his future, his character, and in general, just more goddamn Bubs. Because Cygames be sleeping on him and so is everyone goddamn else.
