Something that caught my eye with @spurs games.

They play a "make someone else beat you" style of basketball.

Anyone who watches the games knows this, but I wanted to see if I could put together the assist numbers and have something to show for it.
The Spurs have played 8 games this season.

Memphis, Toronto, NOP, LAL (3x) LAC, and Utah.

Let's look at all the main guys / scorers / ball handlers on these teams, and how many assists they average against the Spurs. It's a small sample size, but it's good for something.
Ja Morant - 6.3 APG (9 APG VS. SAS)
Lowry - 7.4 APG (10 APG VS. SAS)
VanVleet - 5.7 APG (9 APG VS. SAS)
Ingram* - 5.5 APG (6 APG VS. SAS)
Lebron - 7.9 APG (10 APG VS. SAS)
Kawhi - 6.1 APG (10 APG VS. SAS)
Mitchell - 5 APG (9 APG VS. SAS)
Ingram has the * since that was a very low scoring game. The Pelicans won by 3 in a 98-95 game.

The Pelicans average ~108 PPG as a team, 10 less then what they scored when they played San Antonio. Those few points may have contributed to Ingram's total assists.
It's not a perfect science but it is something to look at. I may look into betting the over in assists every night for the main guy on the team facing the Spurs and hope this trend continues.
Another stat to look at.

The main ball handler averages ~5.5 APG for the teams the SPurs has played against (counting Lowry & VanVleet both as main ball handlers)

Against San Antonio though? An average of ~7.9 APG. That's an extra 2.4 APG when playing the Spurs.
