JOHO’s ( @HassanAliJoho) call for having someone from the coast to run for presidency is a GOOD MOVE! Where I see the issue is him wanting to be loyal to ODM, and ODM not supporting his vision.
Two things may happen:
Two things may happen:
1. JOHO will have a fall out and maybe join WSR
Or
2. JOHO forms a party for the coast where they have a flag bearer who will dictate the coastal votes.
Whoever will want the coast votes will need JOHO

Najib Balala @tunajibu had this vision when he formed RC - Republican Congress Party.
At the time he was seen as just a politician but he clearly wanted to have he coast represented.

The one thing I can say - if all the leaders come together and unify the people’s agenda with the right intentions, a united coast in Kenya will definitely produce national level leadership.
There are those who are pegging on their popularity to sail through and there are those who actually have worked but aren’t talked about.
If @MohaJichoPevu would keep this tanga tanga and UDA rubbish aside and see he is a leader the people can trust, if Joho drops his ego and ODM, and if @tunajibu comes in to bring the leadership team together - this dream is a possibility.
Some leaders need to either step aside or support from a distance. Someone like Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir I don’t see his value as he’s not done much for the people of Mvita compared to what Moha has for the people of Nyali in less than one term.
That said - these are just my thoughts..... and let’s see how it pans out. Also, Mombasa isn’t the coast. There’s more to the Coast that isn’t talked about here.... so I know what I’m saying and these are just my views.
