The time to ban Twitter and Facebook in India is today. It is pretty clear now that if your stance does not align with politics as understood in California, then these platforms will be used in a one sided way to go after you. If a majority of people in California believe that
CAA protestors were in the right and GoI was in the wrong - then the moderation will reflect that. The same thing with respect to the farmers protests.
So the choice is clear - either reinvent your politics to align with California values or expect the full wrath of Twitter and
Facebook platforms to be exerted against you.
I should have included Google and Apple in here as well.
At the very least all countries should insist on content moderation teams located in said countries and following policies created by employees in said country.
