With so many cases now, it may take awhile before you get picked up and transported to a hospital or low risk centre like MAEPS once you are diagnosed Covid positive. What should you do in the meantime while waiting at home? This is a thread (1/9)
1. If you are Covid positive and are staying at home you must practice home ISOLATION. The people who are sharing a household with someone in isolation should practice home QUARANTINE. If you are returning from abroad and quarantine at home, you must also practice ISOLATION.
2. If someone in your household is in ISOLATION or QUARANTINE, NO VISITORS should be allowed into the house.
If you have someone in your house who is Covid +ve in ISOLATION, all members of the household should be on QUARANTINE & should NOT LEAVE the house.

3. ISOLATION means that you must stay at home and remain separated from others in the same household.
- Minimise as much as possible your contact with other members of your household
- Use a separate room and bathroom.

6. Here are some helpful guidelines on how to isolate. Self-isolation should continue for 10 days (though hopefully you will be admitted by MOH before then).

7. If you have a family member who is +ve, you must home QUARANTINE. You are not yet +ve for Covid but are at high risk of being so. You must limit your contact with people outside your home.

8. Your quarantine ends10 days after the Covid +ve person in your household 1st had symptoms/ diagnosed. Monitor closely for symptoms & contact PKD immediately if you develop any. This is the home assessment tool given to those who are under quarantine

9. Important measures you can take is to ensure adequate ventilation in your home. Be very aware of respiratory droplets (sneezing, coughing, masking) & development of any symptoms.
Your discipline in following SOP is as valuable as the frontliners donning their PPEs everyday.
