It's coming close to the anniversary of my grandfather's death and my uncle just passed. It makes me think a lot about being a patriarch of a family and what that means
They both went to their creator knowing they did the best they could, that they're children and grandchildren were fine, that they provided and cared for them the best they could, and all of their missteps or short comings didn't measure up to their legacy
I know I'm probably tweeting out of emotion & a few glasses of wine, but it makes you think about how you measure up as a man. What people will remember you for is really that you did a little every day in whatever way you could to show ppl you loved them.
I think to be remembered for being great isn't to achieve a certain stature of greatness, but to show yourself as a constant hallmark in the lives of those around you that matter.
I don't know, maybe it's stupid but I just wanted to share.
