On Samaale As a result of the misinformation being passed around about awoowe Samaale, I have decided to make a thread which will hopefully educate people
Awoowe Samaale was a Banu hashim man, his abtirsi to Cadnan goes like this:

Samaale himself had 9 sons called: Irir, Meyle, Gardheere, xamarre, Xariire, karuur, Gariife,Maqarre, Yahabur.
Irir had 2 sons, Dir and Hawiye. Dir had 4 sons, Madaxweyne, Madaluug, Maha and Madoobe.

The rest of Samaale sons have migrated to other parts of East Africa.

For example, some of Xariireâs son left the deen and so were kicked out from the lands. They are known today as the Kore of Lamu and their cousins Masai (maayay) who reside in Kenya and other Swahili speaking countries.

You can also find Gardheere samaale in North Africa, in countries like Sudan, Chad, Niger and Libya. Garre Gardheere split into 2 sub clans called Tuuf and Qurunyahow. In North Africa they are known as Toubou and Gorane.

Warra Samaale of the Borana tribe who happen to be the cousins of Wardeey.
Other Somali clans who are related to Samaale are ashraaf who happened to be our closest cousins as we both come from Abu Talib. Another closely related Somali clan is Sheekhaal who are Banu Taym which are the brothers of Kilab Ibn Murrah, the ancestor of Samaale.
However, we do recognise the offsprings of the daughters of samaale such as Habar doobira and Habar magaadle and Habar Harla but they do not have the right to comment on Samaale. We also free the daughters of Samaale from some of their descendants who mock awoowe Samaale.
Lastly just to add, I know certain people on here like to verify information and rightly so, but itâs worrying when you only take from and use books written during the colonial period by white non Muslims. Learn to respect Oral history, you coons!
