Random thoughts on the major social media platforms banning the President.. this will be in thread form.
No business is required to let any individual use their service, this includes social media. The President has at times violated their terms of use. Issue number one is I’ve seen others violate those standards and not be banned.....continued
Issue 2 is that even though these businesses can do this doesn’t mean they should. Social media in itself is a virtual monopoly now. So when you control the market this CAN become a free speech issue. For example, Apple is now threatening to not allow parler on its devices...
