i know that most nhl players are conservative and fascist enablers to various levels of stealth but at some point the league is gonna have to talk about the levels in which tony deangelo is amplifying white supremacy which has already had real consequences for his Black teammates
any support of fascism is deeply harmful but deangelo making these spaces in his podcast, now possibly on a far right website, where he uses his podcasts to create a space for white supremacist supporting hockey fans, is a whole other level.
i think of what happened with Miller and how Aliu in his player tribune piece said this isn't just some random racist it's clearly a hockey fan, how else would he know that a prospect q and a was happening? DeAngelo is making his career off of creating space for white supremacy
and to be clear: fuck every player or person who supports this fascist leader. but there is a specific threat from the organizing and platforming DeAngelo is doing to a player quietly enabling. both can choke, but one is a more immediate threat
and the former, the quieter enablers, are also enabling the like of denagelo, so fuck them for that too
