Our concern should not be what actions might “provoke” the fascists, only what actions will defeat them & eliminate them as a threat. Again, we are at war.

There is no basis at all for assuming that leaving Trump in place somehow reduces the likelihood of further violence from white supremacist fascists. That is 100% an invented talking point of congressional members who’ve decided they simply don’t want to do it.

There is likewise no basis for assuming that leaving Trump in power until Biden is sworn in has any impact on reducing the threat of further escalation. These are just baseless, invented talking points from elected leaders who are hesitant to act.
