Despite all is happening, there has been several media coverage on the study. Which is great! But I encourage to read the full paper and/or reach out to authors for questions/concerns. I won’t be surprise if Uber or Lyft would push back or try to cast doubts but the research and discussions are necessary to continue understanding this phenomena better and aim to move in the right direction
Let’s try to not focus on a single fact but rather on the multiple dimensions and directionality occurring. For example, when discussing car ownership let’s think about drivers besides passengers. Beyond car ownership; let’s discuss car use, VMT, PMT, fuel efficiency, transit,...
