You picked the wrong standard bearer. I understand you think he was the best you could get, but he wasn't the one and the sooner you realize that, the better off you will feel. A lot of people weren't rejecting you. They were rejecting him.

If you look, objectively, at who he is, you can see why people won't accept him. He's mercurial, unpredictable, rash, impulsive, easily distracted, and cares only and always about himself.

That's me being kind. He was much worse than just that. And yes he got you things you wanted. But you deserve a lot better than him and should demand it. There is a way of not putting up with anyone's crap while still maintaining integrity. He ain't it.
