Geoff Aberdein's meeting with Nicola Sturgeon on 29 March 2018 was pre-arranged by Sturgeon's Chief of Staff, Liz Lloyd from early March, specifically to discuss the allegations against Alex.
Sturgeon's claim that this meeting occurred because Aberdein "happened to be" (2/5)
in Parliament and just bumped into one of her staff, is a straight out lie by Sturgeon, as is the claim she then knew nothing of the allegations . As I also reported, Aberdein had consulted Kevin Pringle and Duncan Hamilton QC about the meeting AT THE TIME,
(3/5)
so there is powerful corroboration Sturgeon lied.
Salmond also confirms what I reported, that it was Nicola Sturgeon's Chief of Staff Liz Lloyd who leaked the salacious false accusation to the Daily Record (Salmond says a Special Adviser in Nicola's Private Office). (4/5)
Why does it matter? Because Nicola was, from day one, the force behind the fit up of Alex Salmond. In consequence, she has fallen into a tangled web of lies each apparently small, by herself, her husband, and every single govt witness to the inquiry has had to "correct" evidence.
