For those comparing, many BLM protesters/rioters definitely did try to storm a government building (WH) last year. The difference was not that they changed their minds/were better behaved.. they were forced and held back by an abundance of every law enforcement agency imaginable.
2/2 And authorities were heavily criticised for having so many troops on the ground/excessive use of force.
Also important- the headlines/focus is quite rightly on the criminals who took part in a deadly insurrection, and the President who invited and incited them. But we met many peaceful protestors who love America, respect law and order, and were disgusted/ashamed when
things escalated. An extreme contrast of violent conspiracists hollering for civil war versus patriotic, mum and dad voters who couldn’t believe what they were swept up in.
