I've seen a lot of coverage of the kooky-looking viking-cosplay guy, or the podium-stealing guy. But we are making the same mistake we made in C-ville by not educating ppl on the "alt-right" and the current state of these movements... they ain't just loony Vermin Supreme types 1/

I saw @mikejason73 point out this M*G* protester. Seems OK enough... he's just marching w/folks for what he believes in... know what he believes in? Fascism (the symbol on the shirt) and slaying Jews (6MWE = 6 Mil Wasnt Enough) [NOTE: this image was from an earlier Dec rally] 2/

Here is a Neo-Nazi group, present at Wednesday's rallies claiming "The US Capitol Building is now a 131 Zone". NSC = Nationalist Social Club, 131 is the chapter number. (Credit to Hilary Sargent, I couldnt QT for some reason) 3/

Neo-nazi, white supremacist, and holocaust denier B*ked Al*sk* managed to break into Speaker Pelosi's office, via various sources (not that you'd need various sources... he live-streamed the whole thing). 4/

I honestly don't know wtf this was all about. Ppl who really thought the election was rigged? A stall tactic to halt the count? Ppl trying to get inside and hurt politicians? Ppl who thought if they got inside and were able to hold the bldg, then this would magically happen: 9/

My 1st conclusion: we have done a horrible job (starting w/ C-ville) labelling these people "alt-right", which on its face sounds about as inoffensive as "National Socialist German Workers". Its how they get downplayed and we get "meh, good people on both sides"... 10/

2nd point: This mix of ppl were all in the same crowd. All shouting the same shit. I dont care what u think about the '20 election, a coalition that includes neo-nazis, wannabe jew-killers, white-supremacists, cultists, confederates, and fascists should be deeply feared. 11/

Lastly: START F***ING COVERING THIS SHIT! WHO CARES WHAT THE POTUS REACTION IS/ISNT OR GOP/DEM DRAMA. A BUNCH OF NAZIS STORMED OUR CAPITOL! STOP LEAVING IT TO, LIKE, VICE NEWS, OR WHATEVER, TO HAVE TO GO DEEP UNDERCOVER TO TELL US WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE. ///

They, jussst... waltzed right into the Capitol... right into 3rd-in-line for POTUS' office and did god knows what... Ppl need to be informed: Who was in that group on Wed, what do they believe, and what do they want
