Mind you, the person who captured the initial footage said there was a line of law enforcement DIRECTLY BEHIND HIM who did nothing while this woman was crowded in on, pepper sprayed, etc. they had no idea what that man was doing/saying

And this is also NOT an argument about rushing to judgment. The only reason that man was able to block for her was because he gave off energy that mirrored the crowd and is big as fcking Hagrid. Him being a good guy wasn't normal or expected. He was basically an angel.

This is one moment in like a GAZILLION where these ppl are concerned that the optics were off.

This was the image I saw yesterday: Him holding her in a bear hug while she was being maced at close range. And I thought about how TERRIFIED she had to be, and likely literally afraid for her life.

There was no "jump" to conclusion here. It was a reasonable conclusion

I'm seeing the posts that other ppl are saying Roy wasn't a real help, y'all, but I've read two interviews with direct quotes from her saying he was trying to help, and one where she said a BIGGER help would have been clearing a path for her instead of carrying her.
