Greg Ellingson ( @Gelliman82) is interesting.

From 2015-17 the most passes in the CFL were thrown to boundary WRs by a big margin

By 2018 it was field slotbacks ("Y", "2 Strong"...whatever you want to call them), where Ellingson plays.

Rightly or wrongly I give a ton of the credit for the CFL-wide change to Ellingson.

Twice Ellingson has had >100 targets to the field. Usually guys with that many are short-route, interior guys (Tasker, Sinopoli, Fantuz)

82's avg. target is almost 15 yards downfield--WR level

Brandon Zylstra and Jalen Saunders in '17, Brandon Banks in '18 & '19 all have found their groove as field-side slots.

And Duke Williams in 2018 became an NFLer with his work there.
