The ruling class anticipates and fears popular anger over the extreme austerity measures and escalating social control we can expect over the coming years. Crackdown will be sold as a defense against the right but will be used against anyone who resists the ruling class program.
The logic behind the staged "insurrection" is identical to that behind the CIA's Gladio operation, as described here by Daniele Genser: "to force ... the public to turn to the State to ask for greater security."
