PL2 D1 being quicker and more physical hasn’t affected his game. His technique is improving and he carries the ball out of danger into attacking areas very well. He has 6 assists and it really could be more. Still very creative and inventive, but he'll want more than 3 goals.
He has been asked to play a variety of positions; striker, winger, CM and even has dropped into deeper positions. His positional discipline has improved a lot, very rarely has he failed to perform the position asked of him. Much better concentration and tactical awareness.
Although a fiery character that gets involved with the referee and opposing players, he is controlling his temper much better. He gets fouled often, bad fouls, but gets on with things. Still argues with the ref too much, he should never lose that edge to his game.
He was sent off for an unnecessary confrontation with an opposing player towards the end of the defeat to West Ham. So, his temperament is still a work in progress. Yet, this aspect has certainly improved this season. He needs to find the balance between passion and petulance.
Defensive awareness can improve even further. Hannibal tracks back very well and certainly isn’t lazy. But his tackling can improve. He also needs to lose the Pogba gene and play the ball simply and quickly when outside his own box. Avoid dangerous losses of possession.
His physical growth is just as important as his technical development. While he could aim to score more goals from midfield, a stronger physique will help him to become more a dominant force in his position. He can work on his delivery from set pieces too.
Some positive comments from Nicky Butt: "Hannibal is a leader. The way he plays his football is 100mph, he's non-stop running up and down".
Very true. He's become very vocal on the pitch and works very hard for the team.

We've learned a lot about Hannibal mentality this season, especially in the tough moments. Playing as a striker against League 2 opposition he was kicked around, but coped well.
Was one of the better players in the debacle against Chelsea. He never gives up.

He soon turns 18 and looks comfortable at U23 level. It's unlikely he goes on loan, rather he'll continue to develop and try to threaten the first team fringe players. With the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League both soon to start, he has plenty of meaningful football ahead.
