After all these years, so few people understand Donald Trump. It is amazing. They mislead themselves with inapt analogies. He is just a toddler. He is just a con man. He is just a TV star. No. He may be those things, but that is not what he *is.*
Those things do not describe the mind and essence of Donald Trump. They do not help us to understand and anticipate his actions. He is unique, and his mind is a depraved abyss that normal people fear to gaze into, so they convince themselves it is something else.
He is crueler than anyone you have ever met. He is stupider (in the ways that matter) than anyone you have ever met. He is greedier than anyone you have ever met. He is more narcissistic than anyone you have ever met.
He has more capacity to change his perception of reality completely one minute to the next and to believe it than anyone you have ever met. It is terrifying and maddening, but it is what it is. You have to accept that.
Denying what he is, what he tells us he is and what he shows us he is, is a defensive mechanism for normal well adjusted people. "Well, OK, but he's on TV in a suit. He has a family. He can speak in complete sentences. He can't possibly be that bad..." YES. He can. Deal with it.
He would have murdered everyone in the Capitol and gotten every single member of his mob killed doing it if he thought it would get him a second term, AND HE WOULD HAVE EXPECTED THEM TO THANK HIM FOR THE PRIVILEGE.
