President-Elect Joe Biden is asked if he thinks it’s a good idea for House Democrats to introduce articles of impeachment, as early as Monday. Biden says he’s long thought Trump was unfit for the job, says what Congress does is up to them. Says his priority is COVID.

Biden doesn’t say one way or another whether he supports impeaching Donald Trump a second time. Says it’s up to the Congress.

Biden says the next COVID relief package will be in the trillions of dollars. Details to be released next Thursday. Says if the US does not act now, it will get much worse later.

Biden says yes, when asked if the rioters stormed the Capitol should be treated as domestic terrorists. Calls them thugs. Says it will be a judgment for the Justice department for what the charges should be.

Biden says there should be a full blown investigation, noting the statement given earlier today by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) who said his national guard troops were ready to help, but he couldn’t get authorization.

Biden says he has great confidence in the secret service, which is planning security for inauguration.

Biden is asked, should Trump remain in office? Biden repeats that he’s long said Trump is unfit to serve. Says the question is what happens with 13 days left to go? Says what’s important is being sworn in on the 20th.

Biden says it’s a good thing that Donald Trump is not showing up at his inauguration. Says it’s the only thing they’ve ever agreed about. Calls Trump an embarrassment, not worthy to hold the office.

Biden says if we were 6 months out, they should look at every option to get him out, including impeachment. But says what’s important is his upcoming inauguration on the 20th.

Biden is asked if Mike Pence should go to inauguration? Biden says he’s welcome.

Biden says they’d be honoured to have Pence there. Has not spoken to him.

Biden says after what happened on Wednesday, it makes his quest to unite the country easier. Says republicans have been calling him telling him how horrified they are with Trump. Says he must unify the country.

Biden says there are two ways people are inspired. By inspirational leaders and by terrible leaders. Says Trump has ripped the bandaid off, showing the world how terrible he is.

“I think they should just be flat beaten the next time they run,”Biden says of Sen Ted Cruz, Sen Josh Hawley. Says they’re a part of the big lie.

Biden says Ted Cruz and the other Republicans who repeated the president’s lies are just as responsible as Trump.

Biden clarifies they didn’t say go to the Capitol, but hammers home the repeating of the lies. Says they’re different things.
