Trying to put into words the frustration of the urgency to be an ally and to step it up if you've already been one and like... Getting pissed off at my own inaction lol
Ok, I’ve been thinking and I’ve got some points:

- It is impossible for you to realize how numb your privilege makes you to the struggles of others but you have to be aware of it.

-you will fail to be aware of it. You will have to keep trying.

-you will never be rid of it
- we (white people) need to take a long look at our lives and all the people/places/shows/books/etc that exposed us to and made us indifferent to racial (and other) biases

- we (white people again) need to do the work of unlearning and then help others do so as well
- if people in your life push back or resist doing that work and getting better, distance yourself and let them know why. You cannot do it for them.

- we are not the solution, we are just part of it.
- we gotta boost our POC siblings AND give them a space that is for them.

- we have to realize when we are wrong and rectify it. That doesn’t mean asking POC if we are racist for something and expecting comfort.
Last point

-we are going to have to be uncomfortable and live with that. That means we can’t pretend problems don’t exist or that they’re for other people to take care of.
This is all shit that has been said before. Others have said it better. I’m just remembering lots of dumb shit and need to do something.
