Vaccine acceptance/refusal not divided by scientific literate / illiterate. We all bring more into health care decisionmaking than scientific understanding. Yet vax hesitancy commonly attributed 2 misinformation. That’s why seems surprising to see health care workers hesitate 6/9
LTC workers have borne the brunt of pandemic harms, working under dangerous conditions and living in BIPOC communities disproportionately burdened by the pandemic. The same system that fails to protect immigrant and racialized women from illness & food and housing insecurity…7/9
…by offering safe working conditions, adequate staffing models, decent pay, paid sick leave, AND heavily tasks LTC staff with the difficult work of providing adequate care to fragile patients under extreme conditions, then turns around and offers a vaccine.... 8/9
