The final hours of Mars in Aries did, as a matter of fact, come with an “extinction burst of rage”, and as we shift into a different gear of conflict, expect some things to change, but also expect certain things to remain the same (read: the threat of white supremacist violence):
(only perhaps mutated into different forms, approaches, or capabilities in inflicting harm. Perhaps in this specific context, having Mars in exile with Saturn in a superior square is a good thing.)
Today also comes bearing a state-changing elixir: Mercury enters Aquarius, becoming more of a scientist and less of a bureaucrat or yearly planner aficionado.
Venus also enters Capricorn, becoming less of a party girl who momentarily lost her way during her passage through the South Node and more of a mature, classy bitch who knows the worth of her own time and values things with enduring, timeless appeal.
This also puts Venus in a superior trine to Mars with mutual reception — meaning Venus is in the sign where Mars exalts, and Mars is in a sign that Venus rules. This helps things considerably.
Exact tomorrow, this aspect could signify some sort of pragmatic agreement or temporary ceasefire — an alliance of convenience or a chess move of some kind. It’s also perhaps a time when relationships move forward on the grounds of having the same goals.
Still, remember that Mars is applying to Uranus, so the near future is anything but actually peaceful. Also, Mercury is making those “ultimatum” aspects this weekend I mentioned in an earlier post, which will probably go hand-in-hand with whatever the strategic compromise is.
