I don't think it will happen but I would do something like the below:

1)

150+ 1p
200+ 2p
250+ 4p
300+ 8p
350+ 16p
At the end of the season I would revise the matrix to make it more impactful than volume based. As a result until the end of the season I would only offer the above on players outside the top positional winners. After the matrix review I would make all players eligible.
Limiting it to those outside the top positional winners stops too much weight being embedded into it over the next 6 months before the matrix is changed to suit the system. It also allows a genuine trial and feedback, and a good comparison vs TOTM. They can't both stay imo.
Initially the 150+ 200+ rewards provide somewhat of a replacement to IPDs. But this would be even more of a direct replacement with a revised matrix which was more impactful. As a whole it also provides a more meaningful way to trade performance intuitively in the interim.
With a revised matrix I would open it up to allow top positional winners to also win it e.g. you could win 16p + 28p for a star man who scored over 350 points. Essentially, it becomes like a horse race where if you win by a country mile you win more than if you win neck and neck.
The current matrix isn't set up for this given the overweight to volume (e.g. this has been Messi's worst season and he still cleans up). With a revised Matrix I would have expected him to take less of the top player/star man divs this year and more of the smaller threshold divs.
Back to IPDs, with a better matrix and this system it wouldn't be unreasonable for a Caputo or En Nesyri to win a top positional div and a high threshold div. Which to me is more exciting than the small pennies per goals from IPDs. But would gebuinely be open to all positions.
E.g. this year Paqueta moved to Lyon and played exceptionally vs his time at Milan. He has won no dividends. This system would change that. Saliba could play well until the end of the season and win the same divs (zero) as not playing for Arsenal. This system would change that.
The trading movements that this creates in anticipation of match days would be far more interesting across all positions than just goalscorers/assisters. One could really think about tactics, team styles, player roles, fixtures, transfers even more deeply.
The above also stops strange situations where players can win 4p with 150 on a bronze day but 0p with a 250 on a treble day. But at the same time if a player scores a 350 on a bronze day he gets a much more relevant payout to his performance. Dividends more related to performance
2) Whilst the above is trading focused, I would pay a loyalty bonus of 1p per 1000 points accumulated whilst holding. This helps to push up prices, encourage large portfolios to be built as the anchors and stability that the PB and threshold system can be traded around.
Its small enough and takes so much time to win so that it doesn't affect trading negatively but enough to incentives long term loyalty and building portfolios. It would also provide more of a low floor yield for all players which would invite large sums of passive capital.
I would also calculate this separately from the first Black Sunday until 7 Feb and pay it as a backdated bonus the day of the new matrix change in the summer so it goes straight back into the platform. This of course rewards all who have stuck through FI through its darkest days.
