Sometimes, your ability to find things in retail is dependent on a minimum wage employee helping you with no outside incentive.

This is extremely disarming and let's people know you are friendly. 😀

Most adults hate their life and are bored with the world. If you are genuinely curious and playful, this creates an irresistible charisma about you.

People are drawn to this magnetically!

Find opportunity to laugh, smile, joke, and ask questions.
People love to feel powerful. When you need help, you can put someone else in a position of the expert - this feels good.

How best to do this?

Have the attitude in your mind that you are their student.

You can learn something from everyone.

Make this a lifelong habit.
Practice using different vocal intonation when asking for things.

As you are reading this, try to say "Can you help me?" in different ways.
