Big gov’t is still a giant threat to liberty. But so is big business, especially when it colludes w/ big gov’t, which happens constantly. The right only recognizes the former & ignores the latter, which has allowed pseudo-governmental power in private biz to grow unchecked.
In other words, we are a party that learned nothing from the failures of big finance in 2008 - we rewarded the banks, actually - attempting to deal now with big tech.
“You can crater the economy or distort the free flow of information in America and we will lavish you with bailouts and subsidies because you’re private industry” is not a sustainable policy platform anymore.
