Garrett Bolles is the ultimate testament to perseverance.

2/ down (again). The fans were frothing at mouth, loudly booing him in the stadium that day. Calling him trash (among worse names), and demanding he be benched. Analysts and pundits were calling him a "bust." "Another Elway failure."

Humiliation like that might've broken a
3/ lesser man. Bolles, who has a publicly known learning disability, let it forge the man he would become.

He privately hired an outside the organization coach to help him after hours and redoubled his efforts.

His final 5 games of 2019 were a dramatic improvement. And his
4/ 2020 continued that as he had an incredible season. New contract, an All Pro, league wide respect.

A long way from the inconsolable man, head buried in his locker wondering if he was even going to get the opportunity to bounce back.
