Been returning to Antoine Fuqua’s films for some reason.

Ended up watching Training Day (2001) last night and didn’t realize Denzel improvised some of his King Kong monologue.

Or, that Fuqua thought he couldn’t use it because it’s out of focus.

And goddamn.

I understand the political aspect of wanting Denzel to have won for Malcolm X.

But, he ABSOLUTELY should’ve won for this and I’m glad that he did.
