So much private insurance time/work/dollars are spent finding ways to keep people out of the hospital. This is because hospitals bill an exorbitant amount of money. Medicare for All fixes hospital prices--that's half the problem. It also creates the foundation for accessible care
We need more doctors available in more communities, and we need patients to feel comfortable turning to them first. Or we need to force hospitals to build/rebuild outpatient clinics in their facilities and route patients to them when possible.
Then all that time, brainpower, and money can be spent solving bigger, better problems
(And an equal amount of time/money is spent finding ways to keep people out of the _wrong_ (out of network) hospitals... A total waste if you can have just one "network" -- Medicare for All, accepted by all providers
