OK #DryJanuary2021 folks this is the end of week 1 but weekend number 2.

Here’s some hints and tips for the weekend.

1. Recognise those triggers or behaviours that you associate with a drink (stress, FriYaY, relaxation)

Do something else - bath? No/low drink? Film? Yoga?
2. Rewards! This shouldn’t feel like a penance. Change your treats from that vino or G&T to something else.

No/low drinks such as @StryykD or @LyresSpiritCo

Different treats. How much have you saved? What will you choose?

Chocolate was always my go to....
3. Slip Ups do Happen.

If you do have a slip up - don’t panic.
Don’t over medicalise or dramatise your experience.

Be realistic. You’re trying to change behaviour, neural pathways and part of your diet/routine all at the same time.

If you do have a slip try this:

1. Stay calm - this is normal.

2. Try and keep it small (volume).

3. You have not “failed”.

4. Reflect on why, how this happened (mood, reasons, justification, pressures).

5. Learn for next time = GROWTH.
