Wolves are in a dreadful holding pattern, a limbo from a real reckoning. The absence of shared playing time roster-wide + injuries to the 2 players most vital to their smallball scheme have led to grotesque teamwork. 1/
It is tempting + at least slightly accurate to hold Rosas and Saunders accountable for this wretched state of affairs, if for nothing else under the guise of competitive basketball instead of embarrassments vs every team not named Nuggets since KAT/Okogie went down. 2/
OTOH, not sure what "fix" is before KAT returns + regains hoops rhythm, which is likely weeks away. Difficult to make roster tweaks that foster a familiarity that can be sustainable when KAT returns. And if you toss Ant + Vando out there for "development" carnage increases. 3/
Let's say you want to burn it down + fire Ryan. Anyone expect that to significantly change current dreadful limbo? If you're going to scapegoat Ryan eventually, isn't there a better time for it? Because Rosas isn't scrapping blueprint at this early, deconstructed juncture. 4/
The Rosas/Ryan tandem have less than 75 games under their belt--less than one normal NBA season. Over that time, razed rosters + injuries have made it impossible to really see what team has. Swapping out coaches doesn't change that. And Wolves are not swapping out POBO 5/
Yeah, it's frustrating as hell to see team get absolutely waxed every night. Worse, it was somewhat predictable. (I had them 13th in the West with healthy KAT, revised up to 11th or so after 1st 2 games.) But the facts on the ground (court) say have to see the limbo through end/
