So the parcel we sent to Poland in December for £18 via DPD now costs £145 to send. Well done Brexiters.
Sending parcels to family in Poland has been a tradition for us since the Cold War when the parcels had to be tied up with string. Now sadly over. Ours is sitting in Poland as no carrier will deliver to the U.K. and theirs can’t be sent because the cost of post exceeds the value.
The combination of the cold weather and the pandemic is making things very difficult for homeless people and the government is not going to help this time around. Please consider donating to @shelter or @BigIssue if you are able.
