Querying authors: please check and double check submission guidelines before you query me. I know it's tough because it's different for every agency, but please CHECK.

Some things to remember:
I delete anything with an attachment. If I've requested pages from you, it's fine, but if you're sending me your query for the first time, don't attach anything.

Your query will not be read and you will not get a response.
I ask for the first three pages of your work pasted in the body of the email. If you don't include your pages, it's an automatic pass. I simply don't have time to hunt down samples from people. If you want to requery with your pages, that's fine.

It might take awhile but you WILL get an answer whether it be a pass or a request. You just have to follow the guidelines!
Also, Query Tracker is great but it is not always accurate. (Perhaps there is a way to fix this? Idk) but check on the KT website to see what genres and categories I represent.

For example, I'm not looking for adult mysteries and thrillers. And yet...
