The president had blood on his hands when he incited racist, conspiratorial xenophobia that led to the bloodiest pogrom on American soil in Pittsburgh. He was not held accountable. In fact, he was embraced by Diaspora Min. @naftalibennett @AmbDermer @netanyahu as bff of the Jews.

And his line of accountability for that lethal anti-immigrant and anti-Semitic hatred was obscured by those who spoke of “anti-Semitism on both sides” and invoked the fear of Louis Farrakhan that week.

The president has blood on his hands this week for directly inciting an insurrectionist mob + directing them toward the Capitol to enact violence against the democratic process + for weeks undermining the legitimacy of our free and fair election. He must be held accountable now.

American Jews must say unequivocally: impeach and remove. We must now be clear eyed and steely in our resolve to name the forces that are responsible for empowering this anti-democratic, conspiratorial politics of hate and grievance. We must do it now.
