@SenTedCruz @HawleyMO and many others in the GOP made shit calculations about what would happen if they fomented sedition against a legitimate election. They really thought they could step in and take Trump's MAGA leadership role by fomenting violent revolt. /1

@SenTedCruz @HawleyMO, normally cold calculating men, became frantic. They saw a MAGA power vacuum growing and they were terrified that someone else would step in first. This is how authoritarians operate. They all have knives waiting to stab the dear leader and take his crown /2

People are comparing this to the failed coup attempted by Nazis in 1920's Germany. They are right. The army of would be Trumps are out there waiting to lead an authoritarian white supremacist revolution in America. Men and women who have far less to lose then sitting Senators. /3

By early 1930's Nazi's ruled the German government. They got there because no real consequences emerged from the first attempt at a coup. What we saw at the US capital was American fascists first attempt. They will be back. And many, like Cruz are already elected officials. /4

Here's a fact we have to face. We have white supremacists embedded in all levels of government, mass media (Fox), law enforcement. All across local law enforcement, the Department of Justice, ICE, the FBI, etc. And yes, in the Capital Police. /5

The GOP is now an openly white nationalist party. If we let Trump, Cruz and all who fomented violent insurrection at the US capital off the hook, it's over for us. They will come again. They want power and violence. They want a white nationalist authoritarian America. /7

American history has been written by violent white supremacy. This continues because millions of white Americans sit by silently and let it happen. We must wake up to our culpability, end our silence. Our continuing passivity gives men like Trump/Cruz the reigns of power. /8

Stand up and fight, white America. Join the battle for a fully diverse and inclusive America. Join with BIPOC, LGBTQI+, immigrants, people of different religions, different countries of origin. Or hand our nation over to white nationalist slaughter and ruin. /9

DEMAND @SenTedCruz and @HawleyMO be removed from the Senate. Demand @realDonaldTrump be prosecuted for sedition. Hold 170 GOP insurrectionist congresspeople accountable. Do it now. Our children's futures are at stake. Don't say it can't happen here. We just saw it happen. /10

Trump's grift will never end. And to maximize that grift he will continue to foment a white nationalist insurrection.
