For those concerned with the whole takedown of #shueisha content and 'new' Japanese law:

1. The law only applies to sites operating within Japan.
2. The strikes we see are the result of a bad bot.
3. It ONLY applies to manga.
4. This law has been in effect since October 2020.
4. The part that took place on Jan 1st, involves the illegal downloading and uploading of manga. Nothing more. Nothing less.

5. Again, this is only applicable to those operating within Japan.

We've just got a rampant bad bot on Twitter hittin. Go private if you wanna feel safe but no one's going to jail and this has nothing to do with your fanart or all the other stuff folks are thinking.
Another good thing to point out from Crunchyroll's article is that this law contains provisions that clearly state they are NOT intending on trampling on toes:
