Fellow educators, there has never been a more important time in our careers than now. We are currently faced with the incredible task of not only providing a quality education during the middle of a deadly pandemic, however 
we must also rethink and revise our instruction so that we are truly educating our students about the history of our country. We need our children to understand the fragility of our democracy, and that freedom should never be taken for granted.
We need to instill in them a sense of responsibility to stay engaged, ask questions, use their voices, fight for change, demand justice, and stand up for equality.
So while we may be feeling overwhelmed and exhausted as we continue to watch these events unfold, stay strong and know that this is our opportunity to inspire and empower a generation of leaders who will continue to fight for progress for many years to come.
