Why wasn't this foreseeable?
In many ways it was and therefore contingency plans have been put in place. All applicants were informed of this possibility before submitting applications. We know this doesn't make things easier, however.

What are the contingency plans?
Applications will now be assessed in two main ways:
- Verified self-assessment
- Application form review.
You will have already submitted your self-assessment. The main change here is how it is evidenced.

What about the application form review?
- Submissions can't now be changed.
- Areas for scoring haven't been 100% confirmed yet. We'll let you know when we know. It'll likely be based on commitment to specialty & meeting personal specification.

How do I upload evidence?

The guide on submitting evidence is here: : https://specialtytraining.hee.nhs.uk/Resources-Bank

Do I really need to submit evidence?
Yes. If an applicant provides no evidence for three or more of their scored achievements, they will not be considered for appointment.
Don't submit evidence for anything done after your form was submitted.

Does it need to be good evidence?
Yes. Although you'll lose points for achievements insufficiently evidenced, you won't be appointable if the presentation of evidence is sufficiently poor that it makes it difficult to verify.
Also don't do these things:
