The real reason they tried damage-control is he needs to say he's running in 2024 (and probably actually will) for the grift -- and the grift/$$$ for those around him -- to continue.

But they can't admit that bc maybe then Congress would set wheels in motion. So instead yesterday what we saw was Trump-World-sets-the-narrative-by-leaking-to-reporters-the-narrative-Trump-World wants out there.

4/ So they 'leaked' (cough-cough) to reporters that Trump is worried about legal exposure. (He isn't -- not on this.) When REALLY the concern is "We just saw our 2024 Campaign go up in flames and the grift along with it."

5/ "How are we going to collect money from the dumb masses if he's impeached and removed"? (In that scenario, they can't even PRETEND he's running in '24) So.. they came up with another reason and the dutiful press reports it.

6/ I saw this firsthand and it's an old trick. "Leak" to a reporter something TrumpWorld wants the narrative to be. The reporter will report it like an obedient soldier bc (a) he/she wants to continue having access and (b) he/she thinks he/she just snagged a scoop.

7/ But in reality the reporter is just being used to publicize a false narrative. Reporting what they FED you and pretending it's an unauthorized, juicy leak from your 'source' who bravely leaked to you something no one is supposed to know... keeps happening.
